Cities Increasingly Turn to ‘Trash Police’ to Enforce Recycling Laws

Fox News:  “Beware the green police. They don’t carry guns and there’s no police academy to train them, but if you don’t recycle your trash properly, they can walk up your driveway and give you a $100 ticket.  They know what’s in your trash, they know what you eat, they know how often you bring your recycles to the curb — and they may be coming to your town soon. That is, if they’re not already there.”

Elementary Schools Remove Swing Sets to Avoid Lawsuits & Liability

More evidence of the harm the U.S. litigation system does to our country and freedom.  Investors Business Daily:  “Fearing lawsuits over injuries, a West Virginia county is removing swing sets from elementary schools.  A minor, local issue?  No.  America’s litigious society has changed the way kids play.”

Mass. Governor Deval Patrick Sorry US is a Free County

Asked what he thought about Glen Beck’s freedom rally held at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, Deval Patrick the Democrat governor of Massachusetts, said on a radio talk show:

“It’s a free country, but I wish it weren’t.”

We should be very afraid when our elected leaders have the courage and stupidity to say in the open in public that they oppose freedom.

Arizona Republic:  “”There’s no way Andy McDonel is taking down his ‘Don’t Tread on Me‘ flag.  The homeowners association in McDonel’s Laveen neighborhood told him to remove the yellow banner with the coiled snake from the front of his house.”

See the New York Times story on this subject called “Homeowner’s Fight Involves Flag Tied to Tea Party” and the Arizona Daily Sun story called “Flag voter caught in middle of Tea Party T-shirt flap.”  For information about Arizona’s flag display laws, see “political yard signs.”
